Global Capitalist and Colonial Indonesia Repress the People of Papua

Chairman of West Papua National Committee [KNPB], Victor Yeimo
"We strive to meet basic needs (eating, drinking, pake) by resorting to colonial and capitalist, while leaving old patterns of production (gardening, hunting / raising / fishing). Some say this is a logical consequence that inevitably, likes not like, must be faced. Times have shifted to modern production patterns."

So, whether the colonial and the capitalist has succeeded in transferring technology into the hands of the Papuan people to be able to meet their needs? No! Not once!
Colonial and capitalist only succeeded in creating a culture of consump- tismism, an acute dependence on colonial and capitalist products. They just blame us: "because you tra have the quality of human resources," he said.

After being educated with the title of the back face, they force us to become slaves under the colonial and capitalist system, while the production of clothing, food and boards is maintained and guarded by the power of the state. Half a century under colonial and trada food production capitalists one managed and enjoyed by Papuans themselves.
Because the economy is the base of the political and socio-cultural, then they set the people of Papua mutually hate, envy of revenge, and standard kill the tagal Pilkada. They recruit and empower Papuans to become informers, so civil militia, while selling and killing fellow country children. They drained copper gold, then drained their labor, then dumped it from the colonial and capitalist companies, and so on.

We, the Papuan people, in this position are not only trapped, and oppressed so badly, but more than that the modern-day capitalist-colonialist system and style of production, destroys the pattern of economic utilization and fulfillment. Those of us who are supposed to meet our needs adequately and share the rest, turn out to be a greedy, hedonic, out-of-human consumer. We should be collective in the management and distribution of the production of beruba into arrogant individualists with subservience to the colonial and capitalist to achieve personal gain.
I am convinced that we expel colonial and capitalist from the homeland of West Papua, we can again reconstruct our production style, to create equality and peace for West Papua.
