Indonesian Colonialism and Human Rights Violations Are One Unity

The root of all human rights violations in West Papua is colonialism. Where there is colonial rule, there is human rights abuses. Colonialism and Human Rights Violations are two sides of the coin that can not be separated. Colonial trees rooted and strongly planted on the land of colonies will always produce the fruits of colonialism, one of them violations of human rights. It has become a law of nature. That's a logical consequence. That's the formula for sure. Colonialism has only the purpose of annihilating its inhabitants, and control of its territory. That is Indonesia in West Papua today. Indonesia is an invader and human rights violation is a practice of colonization itself.

Whoever humans in this world, must proclaim themselves, organization and country, that the Papua that continues to bleed is the result of Indonesia still entrenched on the land of Papua. That's right awareness. It's a form of honest acknowledgment. Without the recognition that Indonesia is a colonist colonizing Papua, do not dream of completing Papuan human rights violations. Will never finish. Therefore, human rights advocacy from case to case without the awareness of Indonesia as a colonist who became an actor of human rights violators is exactly clean the branches and dried leaves of colonizers to be more big and thick.


As a fellow human being, you are entitled to defend and sue the humanity of the victim in front of your eyes. As a humanitarian advocate, you are entitled to defend victims of human rights violations because that is your profession.
